Why am I getting this error?
Boomcaster requires 2GB of space to record in high quality. This allows Boomcaster to safely store the recording temporarily on your system before uploading to cloud. While cloud upload is real-time, local storage in the browser is needed to ensure a reliable and smooth recording experience.
But I have plenty of space on my hard drive?
Your browser may not able to access the free storage on your system due to browser configuration or when the temporary storage is full. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue,
- Type in chrome://settings/ in the chrome address bar and click on "Privacy & Security". Disable "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows". When this is enabled, browser storage is limited.
- Refresh browser and join the Boomcaster session
- If the above step doesn't resolve the error, click on Settings --> Privacy & Security. Click on "Clear browsing data"
- Free up storage by checking the three boxes (Cookies, Cached Images & Files, Hosted app data) and changing the Time range to "All time".
- Refresh browser and join the Boomcaster session
